Absolutely fantastic! They were so nice! The food was absolutely fantastic! They opened late, due to the snow, so we couldn't try the Naan or tandoori, but we tried many other items on the menu and they were all amazing! (Sorry, I was too busy enjoying the delicious food to take pics of all the other dishes lol) Highly recommend this place!
We recently took our family to Astoria Biryani house Omaha to celebrate our son’s birthday with a group of 16 people. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly arranged—the staff arranged tables ready for us, which made the occasion even more special. We’ve known the owner for the past 5 years, and he has always been incredibly kind, welcoming, and caring. The food, as always, was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. We’ve also used their catering in the past, and it was just perfect. Highly recommend Astoria biryani house for both dining in and catering needs!
Experience is top-notch and authentic!!! You will never miss Indian Food in Astoria, fantastic aroma, food and service. Be sure to be careful with the spices😉😉😉Their spices are Indian Level.
Flavor-Packed Buffet Experience at Astoria Biryani House Omaha – A Must-Visit for Food Lovers If you’re in or around Omaha and craving bold, authentic Indian flavors, look no further than Astoria Biryani House. I recently had the chance to try their buffet, and it was honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. This place is a hidden gem that delivers not only on variety but also on quality and taste. The buffet featured an impressive 25+ items, with something for everyone—whether you're a die-hard meat lover or a vegetarian. Highlights included the Karampodi Chicken, which was spicy, crispy, and full of flavor, and the Fish Fry, fried to perfection with a well-balanced blend of spices. The Goat Pulav was aromatic and rich, while the Chicken Dum Biryani nailed that slow-cooked, layered flavor that biryani lovers seek. Even the Veg Kheema Biryani was a standout—flavorful, hearty, and far from an afterthought. There were also two tasty veg appetizers, adding depth and variety to the meal. And let’s not forget the Tandoori Chicken—easily one of the stars of the buffet. It was juicy, well-marinated, and had that perfect tandoor-charred texture that’s hard to beat. What really set this buffet apart was the attention to freshness. Hot naan was served directly to the table (a rarity in buffets), and the soup was a comforting start to the meal. On the sweeter side, they offered two types of desserts, providing a nice, simple finish to an otherwise spice-packed feast. The staff at Astoria Biryani House were friendly and attentive, constantly ensuring the buffet was fresh and well-stocked. The entire setup was clean and well-organized, making the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Omaha, Astoria Biryani House is absolutely worth a visit. Perfect for foodies, families, or anyone looking to explore a variety of bold, authentic Indian dishes all in one place. You’ll walk out full, happy, and probably already planning your next visit.
Their weekend lunch buffet, for under $20 and with over 20 food options, is so worth it. Their biryani is amazing, especially the lamb one. Delicious curries, too. I enjoyed the masala tea as well. Not my first time and certainly not my last. 🍛
Great place for food and drinks, they have variety of food for both veg and non veg Lunch buffet is also amazing, spices are blended to cater the appetite of non Indians too. Service is first class we felt.....Both servers taken care of us .we really impressed by the service got an homely feel. Best restaurant in Omaha .Best service from staff overall a good option to consider, I do recommend...!
I ordered the Kobaripalu Goat Pulav and Madras chicken pakora from Astoria last night, and it was simply satisfying! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the tender goat meat melting in your mouth, while the coconut added a rich taste. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the spices were on point, bringing an authentic touch to the dish. Every bite was bursting with flavor, making it one of the best biryanis I’ve had in a long time. If you’re looking for a biryani that delivers both on taste and quality, this is the one. Highly recommended….
