This is genuinely some of my favorite food in Cincinnati. Everything I’ve tried is amazing and the portions are enormous—a takeout order of their tandoori chicken tikka (my typical go-to) usually lasts me 3 or 4 meals. Their staff are super great, and the atmosphere inside is very welcoming. Grateful we have such an excellent Indian restaurant on the west side!
It does not matter when you come, it's ALWAYS delicious. I have been coming here for years now. I've tried so many of the dishes. It's always good, no matter what you get.
We loved it! I couldn't tell you what we had because I often have Indian food and forget the name, but we all got something and shared it and everything we ate tasted great! The restaurant is small, perhaps 5-10 tables or so. The man that helped us, (he greeted us, seated us, answered the phone, helped serve the food) said that 80% of their business is take out. While we were eating, we saw a steady stream of people coming into pick up food to take out, and it was a Thursday evening. Very friendly nice staff, clean restaurant (a little cluttered, but clean). Not a lot for ambiance, but it was clean and nice and the food was excellent; defiantly I would recommend take out, dine in if you don't mind a hole in the wall kind of setting (I don't mean that disrespectfully, just don't know how to describe it). I will go back and I would take a friend if we were looking for place to eat. I recommend it!
One of our favorite Indian restaurants in the city! Everything we’ve tried has been unique with complex flavors and spices. I highly recommend the cucumber salad served with their signature dressing and the goat curry!
First time to Mayas, I got carry out. They were busy but did not rush me and answered my questions. The inside is very cute and cozy. I got lamb curry number 3, not too spicy, but just right. This is now my new favorite restaurant to go to.. I can't wait to take friends with me next time.
Rating mostly on the food quality and taste. We tried the fish pakora and mix platter at first in appetizers. Fish pakora was one of the best I have had in the US so far. It was very hot and crispy. We followed with paratha and chicken tikka masala. Parathas are too big and tasty too. You should probably only order one paratha for every 2 people for it to not get wasted. Chicken tikka masala tasted ok. We also tried shrimp biryani which was really good. We ended up with special chai which wasn't really that special. The only feedback I would give to the restaurant is to tell their customers their best dishes from the menu. We came from far away and only wanted to try their best dishes, however, when asked about it, we were said there is no special dish and everything is good.
Some of the absolute best food I have ever eaten! Everything was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. We ordered samosas, saag paneer, garlic naan, chicken makhani and chicken vindaloo. I forced myself to overeat and still took half it home with the generous portion of seasoned jasmine rice that was steamed perfectly. Please eat at this delightful restaurant. Often!
