Had the beef gyro wrap here late at night, and it was a game-changer. My friend and I were… let’s say, under the influence, and thought it was incredible. Returned another evening while entirely sober for double-check, and yes—it was just as delicious. Great late-night spot with friendly service.
Watched a band at C- Boys and had some awesome food from Weird Food which is located essentially in C- Boys side lot but Weird does have its own entrance from the sidewalk as well. The food was excellent and the gentleman managing the truck was delightful to speak with. I had the beef gyro with hummus and my wife had the vegan chickpea wrap. I came back during the band's intermission break and picked up an order of loaded fries as well which was very good! Highly recommend when you're in the neighborhood. Reasonable prices and fantastic food - a great combination!
Amazingly delicious. I said “what’s good?” He said, “everything is good if you make it good.” I said, “what would you order?” He says Okay. I got an amazing plate, lamb, chicken, chickpeas, basmati rice, some sauces, a little lime pickle, all delicious.
Can I be honest? I'm not convinced there isn't some kind of wizardry going on in that truck. I ordered a chicken and rice plate. It came out quickly and was unequivocally the best I've ever had (and I lived in NYC for years and ate from many halal trucks)! The service was friends too and it was parked next to a bar with live music which really added to the atmosphere!
I ordered a gyro, just grabbing something fast. Luckily, the owner was there and like, "man, don't get a gyro. Let me fix you a plate of good authentic Pakistani food". Wow was it good!! Such good flavor in all the good samples of things he gave us. Listen to the chef!! Awesome place, great food, fun staff
Park in front of the truck and not on the side parking lot! Beef and rice plate is great, you can tell the hummus is made from scratch, and I def suggest the chickpea side dish. Tried the lamb, it was a little dry for my taste but chicken and beef are great.
BEST Mediterranean food that I’ve had in Austin. I got the beef gyro over rice now I can’t wait to try the gyro wrap. Don’t expect a smile… just freaking amazing food! This guy works hard too, I can tell. It’s a lot of love put into the food. Thanks man!
