This place is amazing! I absolutely love this location. It’s a bit tucked away, but the lanai with sunset views, the indoor space, and the patio are all fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with perfect music and lighting that set the vibe just right. Reservations aren’t required, but they’re always recommended. Service was excellent—our server was very attentive and made sure we were having a great time. The food was outstanding! Just a heads-up: be mindful of the spice level. They use a 1–10 scale; I ordered a 5, which was just right for me, but it might be too spicy if you’re sensitive. There are great vegetarian options, too. The chicken tikka masala came with complimentary rice, the garlic naan was delicious, and the samosas with the green sauce made for a perfect appetizer. Parking is easy to find just around the corner.
This is my absolute favorite place for Indian and Nepalese food in Hawai’i. I’ll tell you why… The food is always delicious, with so many choices that I still haven’t tried it all and I’ve been coming here at least 10+ years now. The portions are generous and the price is so affordable. The atmosphere in the Kaimuki location is laid back, and I love to eat outside and enjoy the cool breezes at night on their patio listening to music and eating and chatting with friends. We never feel pressured to leave so the next party can have our table bc there’s room for everyone. The service is always so friendly and accommodating. Whenever we have a birthday party or gathering there, the staff goes above and beyond to make us feel special and enjoy the experience. Any substitutions or requests are usually able to be made and there’s never bad vibes about it. This location is HUGE so there’s never a wait for a table, unlike some of the other places in town where it can take an hour or more to get a seat. This is something I highly appreciate because let’s face it: O’ahu is overpopulated and restaurants get hyped up and then you wait forever. And those places raise the prices and quality goes down bc they’re overwhelmed by popularity. They’re BYOB so it makes having some nice wine with dinner that much more affordable plus you can have whatever you want to drink, you’re not limited to the restaurant’s menu. There’s parking galore which is a challenge at other Indian restaurants (if they even offer parking) so that also adds to the enjoyment of eating here. Any time I bring friends here we ALWAYS enjoy, have a great meal, have fun and never break the piggy bank.
Overall good halal food. Samosas were delicious. Chicken Tikka Kadahi was very flavorful and so did Chana Masala and Butter Chicken! Lussi and Batoray may need improvement.
this place was so amazing. we sat on the balcony n brought our little dog. the service was amazing and the employees were so nice. the food was so well done and came with complimentary rice with the entrees it was also byob would definitely recommend
I recently had dinner at Himalayan Kitchen and had a memorable experience! The outdoor seating was well-spaced and ideal for enjoying the beautiful weather. The service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and quick, ensuring we had everything we needed. But the highlight of the evening was the food which was outstanding! My favorite dish was the Mix Tandoori Combination plate. The best part for me personally was chicken tikka, lamb sekuwa, and the shrimp which was charbroiled in the tandoori oven. They even offer freshly made mocktails and the dragon fruit mocktail was refreshing and vibrant. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I can’t wait to go back!
My husband and I have ordered out here a few times and loved it every time! We finally made it over to sit down and it was great, the atmosphere was perfect! We were greeted by the owner who helped us decide, he is a great host and treats everyone like family! The food was amazing if you are thinking about going do it!
seems like an authentic indian restaurant. food was delicious. naan was soo good! they nailed the spicyness (you can choose between 1-10). only thing; we ate on the balcony and very small ants liked this place as well, so some of them made it all the way up to the table :/ but other than that: recomend and will definitely come back 😊
