We enjoyed our dinner at Serendib. I do love a good curry on a cold day. We loved the samosas, naan bread and traditional curry. The staff was very friendly and the food came quick. I also liked that the tables were not close together. I would recommend this restaurant to friends.
One of the top spots for Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine in town! If you’re visiting Acadia National Park or anywhere nearby, this place is a must-try. We tried the naan, paneer curry, samosas, and a flourless chocolate cake — and every single dish was absolutely delicious.
This exceeded our expectations and our dinner party guests were “mind blown” with your authentic cuisine. We’ve all eaten Indian food from all over the US and this is by far some of the best. Quiet and cozy atmosphere, attentive wait staff and the food was amazing! From the lamb butter sauce to the starter menu it was all delicious. **for the 1, 2 and 3 star reviews that mention not enough spice? Not even sure how to respond but EVERYTHING we had was packed with flavor and each of the dishes were shared. Each had spice and flavor that complemented each other beautifully. Mouthwatering, flavorsome, delectable… this is absolutely a YES!!!
Absolutely loved the food. We were surprised to find a SriLankan restaurant in Ellsworth :) but glad we decided to try it. Friendly service and really good food. The SriLankan fried rice was our absolute favorite. The naan with the 3 chutneys were excellent as well. The SriLankan beef curry was another super dish. The jackfruit curry and the black pork curry were also very good.
This is a good place to come for Indian style food. The food has great flavors and very modern style look. The service was great too was seated within seconds of coming in. Food came out hot and fast. Would recommend coming here early tho as it is a popular local spot.
Simply great food. We had the pork and beef curry, both were amazing. Be careful with your spicy level though, our medium was certainly enough to make us sweat.
A perfect dinner spot to stop into. We ordered two dishes for here and two dishes to go, all arrived very quickly and were DIVINE. Tuna is cooked to perfection, tandoori chicken is moist, seasoned, and very good to the last morsel. Recommend for anyone stopping through town as a date or a family to feed. Definitely give it a try! Plus lots of tasty beverages (alcohol and non-alcohol)
