The place is reminiscent of a mom and pop store, but the staff immediately make you feel like family. The humor is spot on, not making you feel uncomfortable while making you feel like an old friend. The food was absolutely delicious, and I didn't not find a SINGLE thing that I didn't enjoy. This dining experience was truly wonderful and I will be coming here again.
We come here often for the buffet. We came today and the food was better then ever. The food is made fresh and put out hot. We always have great food and service. The butter chicken with garlic Naan, oh yes please
I had my mom’s Celebration of life gathering at The Taj. The buffet was great and Harry, his sister and staff were so accommodating to my needs. Harry was also very funny and social with my family and friends. Great experience!
Great food and friendly staff! The samosas were huge and delicious, buttery lovely naan, and all our dishes were tasty. Would recommend 👍
Holy bananas! Delicious! We got four entrees and one appetizer and it was way too much food for four people. Everything was delicious, we will definitely be back. Edited - 4 years later and it's still our favorite Indian restaurant in the Yuba Sutter area!
The chicken tiki masala is delicious. Just tried it for the first time and I loved it .The dessert display in this restaurant is beautiful ..Lots of colorful baked goods .Never really had Indian food until I tried this and it did not disappoint .I got garlic Naan, rice and the chicken with two desserts for under $20
If you love Indian food, The Taj is a must try. This place has won us over with its impeccable cleanliness, flavorful dishes, great pricing, and super kind hospitality of its staff. We've dined there twice now, and each time, we've stuck to the classics like butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and chicken vindaloo – all of which were fantastic! But what really surprised us were the lesser-known dishes we discovered – malai kofta(my new favorite!), tandoori chicken, fish pakora(another new favorite!!), and karahi paneer. They were like hidden gems on the menu, bursting with flavor and utterly delicious. And let's not forget the garlic naan, mango lassi, and those mouthwatering samosas! Oh, and don't even get me started on the chutneys, sauces, and the dessert counter – everything is so delicious! It's safe to say that if you're not dining at The Taj, you're truly missing out on unforgettable Indian food.
