Desi Adda Memphis

Went there last night around 10pm. We ordered a dosa, a pulao, and an Idly All were great. The idly was pretty spicy with the chili oil but the tahini/peanut sauce was great with it. The dosa batter was great and the potatoes in ours was flavorful and delicious. Took the pulao to go but took a bit and it was great with big chunks of sausage and tender rice.

Food was tasty. Both outdoor and indoor seating is available now. Sweets, coke and sodas are available. Catering is also available on order. Party hall is available.

Desi Adda is a nice outdoor venue with picnic tables and Bollywood films on the wall. Vegetarian options include Paneer Pulao, Guthi Vankai Pulao (cauliflower Manchurian style), several types of Dosa (onion shown here), and many others. Their chai is very good too.

Ive been really excited to try out the new Indian spots that are appearing in orange mound. This one did not disappoint!!!! The staff who were taking orders were patient and informative helping me choose something since I don't know what most of the menu is. I got the chicken majestic since it seemed like a basic and safe choice. Chicken was tender and flavorful and Sauce was delicious and rich with a a nice touch of baking spice. It paired beautifully with their little cups of complementary chai tea, which was very hot, fresh, light and peppery. Heavy on the cardamom and not too sweet. I like that there's options that are smaller portions and a little cheaper, so I'll be able to try more things and figure out what I like. I went on a day when it had rained a good bit so it was pretty wet outside still, but a staff member was wiping the rain water off the benches which was nice! They're open till 1am which is great since it's hard to get any decent food past 9:30 in Memphis these days. I will be back

I brought karam dosa and egg noodles . Karam dosa tastes like home food and Egg noodles taste so good, real desi feel. I never liked the noodles from any restaurant in Memphis . This is the first time I loved it..

As a person who has very little experience eating Indian food, I found the food to be delicious. The owners are warm and welcoming. I found the atmosphere to be very inviting. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to step outside their comfort zone and try something exciting and new.

I recently dined at this remarkable restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. The food was exceptionally good and fresh, truly a delight for the senses. A special mention goes to Venkat, who made our experience even more enjoyable. His kindness and the way he treated us were greatly appreciated. The lady at the counter also did a fantastic job handling customer requests efficiently and with a smile. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food and outstanding service.
