Bollywood Grill

After a long day of exploring North Hollywood, hopping on and off buses and taking in the sights, we decided to head over to Bollywood Grill for a late-night bite of Indian cuisine. The restaurant itself was quiet when we arrived, which could have been due to the late hour, well past regular dinner time. We were warmly welcomed by a young gentleman who immediately showed us to our table. The menu had a good range of traditional Indian dishes, which made it tough to decide! Ultimately, we ordered lamb biryani, chicken tikka masala, and naan. My wife wasn’t particularly hungry at the time, so it was mostly me enjoying the meal. The food arrived quickly, which we appreciated given how tired we were from the day's adventures. Starting with the lamb biryani, I found it flavorful and well-cooked, though there were more sliced onions than I’m used to seeing in biryani dishes. The flavor was still pleasant, but it did add a unique twist. The chicken tikka masala was where we noticed a difference. Having tried tikka masala in various Indian restaurants around the world, we were a bit surprised to find it tasted more like butter chicken. If it had been listed as butter chicken, I would have found it very satisfying, but as a tikka masala, it missed that traditional balance of spices we’re accustomed to. Nonetheless, it was rich, creamy, and enjoyable in its own way, just not quite what we were expecting. The naan was fresh, soft, and perfect for scooping up the rich sauce of the chicken dish. Overall, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and the restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, with subtle decor that suited the theme. The prices felt reasonable, especially for a spot located right in the middle of North Hollywood near the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s a convenient and cozy place to refuel after exploring the area. In summary, Bollywood Grill offered a pleasant dining experience with friendly service, reasonable prices, and good food, though with a few unexpected flavor twists for those familiar with traditional Indian dishes.

Amazing service, the atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming also it's clean. Great prices for the heart of hollywood. The food was delicious! I love Indian food but this one was my favorite would love to come back!! And recommend it to anyone

We had two dinners, an appetizer, dessert and a wonderful mango drink. All excellent, priced fair. Truly authentic with great flavors! The staff members were all kind, and we didn't wait long at all to get our dinners.

I have worked in the area for five years And I was so happy when Bollywood Grill came to Hollywood just a block away from my job where I Could satisfy my hunger with my favorite that being the tikka masala bowl. I used to walk over and order but lately I’ve had the convenience of calling in. I really love that My order is made fresh. On top of that the lunch bowl is filling with a great portion that I always have to save for an early dinner or late snack. While you’re there grab yourself a Mango Lassi. Times where I really Have a craving I’ll ask for extra garlic naan. 😋 Thank you Kamaljit for your consistent warm welcome everytime I pick up. If you have time sit and dine in. The restaurant is serving a good Indian food. Everything was fantastic.

We had a late night dinner on occasion of family member birthday party. owner was so friendly, offer us free desert. food was amazing their portion is really big.. Definitely recommending for Indian food while enjoying Hollywood Street. Their ginger, lemon drink was super awesome. This was one of the recommendation from a owner. I definitely recommend trying to a drink.

Was looking for a good place to eat with the family and stumbled upon this gem. Food was served in a timely manner and was exquisite. The ambience was very charming and authentic. The whole family enjoyed the experience so much, we’ll definitely be back here again!
