The other reviews are right- this place is so good! I'm honestly upset, I've lived in the area for four years, but never tried this restaurant. It is in a very unassuming plaza, but once inside, the ambiance is set with candles, lighting, decor, and how polished it looks. The staff are very attentive and well dressed. The atmosphere feels much more expensive than the bill. The Mocktail was delicious - tasted like fresh mango juice and mint. The Vindaloo was nice and spicy (but not so much so that you can't enjoy the flavors of the dish). The Tandoori Shrimp were packed with flavor, and the desserts were inventive in the fusion flavors. My favorite of the night was definitely the Mocktail and the tandoori. I think it's the best Indian food I've had in NJ. Must try in the New Brunswick area!
An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Each course on the tasting menu was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing a perfect balance of creativity, flavor, and presentation. The pacing between dishes was spot-on, allowing time to savor each bite while maintaining excitement for what was next.Service was attentive yet unobtrusive, making the whole evening feel effortless and special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable culinary journey.
Went here twice and have had great meals and great service both times. We love the tandoori chicken and Apollo fish, and Arya gave us very attentive service. All of the staff is friendly and they will celebrate your birthday with you! Will definitely be back again
If you want a taste of authentic Indian food sampler, order Thali. It was so much food and so delicious! Shout out to the waitress, Arya! She was so sweet and patient explaining all different dishes are and recommend the perfect Blue Hawaiian mocktail to pair with the spicy food. I’ll definitely come again.
We came to Bhog Restaurant to celebrate a birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our party of 15 guests was well taken care of. The servers were incredibly attentive, perfectly managing our large group while making sure everyone had what they needed. Their warm hospitality made the celebration even more special. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious! We ordered more than 10 different dishes, and each one was packed with incredible flavor. The Chicken Biryani was perfectly spiced, the Paneer Tikka Masala was rich and creamy, and the fresh, fluffy Naan complemented everything beautifully. The appetizers were a standout—Beet Tikki had a lovely crispy texture and the Andhra Chili Chicken and Chicken 65 were both bursting with bold flavors. The fish dishes were cooked to perfection, and the Bendi Masala was a flavorful vegetarian option that we all loved. Beyond the amazing food, Bhog is a fantastic place for hosting a dinner party. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for celebrations. If you're looking for a restaurant that serves outstanding Indian cuisine with impeccable service, Bhog is the place to go!
Was visiting NJ for work and decided to dine in and loved everything we ordered so much that we ended up ordering food on our last day as well! Our server Arya was superb and attentive. Highly recommend the Masala Roast Chicken.
If I could give this place more than five stars, I absolutely would. This is, hands down, the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. From the moment you walk in, you are transported into an atmosphere of pure class. The lighting, the furniture, the spotless cleanliness, everything is meticulously curated to make you feel like you’re in for something special. The staff, dressed in all black suits, add to the elegance, and the little lamp at each table creates the perfect candlelit ambiance without the actual candle. Now, let’s talk about the service, because wow. The moment I sat down, my server pulled out my chair like a complete gentleman. Then, he carefully unfolded the napkin and placed it on my lap (and my friend’s lap, too). He poured the water into our glasses from a beautiful bottle before presenting each dish in front of us with the utmost care. Throughout the meal, the attentiveness was next level. They checked in, but never hovered, making sure everything was perfect. And to top it off, a lovely woman came over to chat with us, she was so warm and engaging, making us feel truly welcome. The food? Absolutely unreal. Creamy doesn’t even begin to describe the richness of the flavors here. The goat? Perfectly tender, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The rice? Cooked just right. The garlic naan? Crispy on the edges, fluffy in the center, exactly how it should be. The paneer? Incredible, with the perfect touch of spice in the sauce. This place also had the best Mango Lassi I’ve ever had. Every single dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. And let me just say, these people pay attention. My friend and I are Latinas, and for dessert, they surprised us with a tres leches-inspired treat. That little touch made our night. It was refreshing, delicious, and the perfect way to end an already perfect meal. I’m still raving about this place because it deserves it. The food, the service, the ambiance, everything was beyond amazing. If you’re thinking about coming here, do it. You will not regret it.
