An amazing spot for Indian! I was visiting from Queens and was not expecting this Indian restaurant (in a small historical town) to deliver this much quality. The lamb phaal is excellent. The sauce has a robust flavor and the spice level is hot but not painful. They are very generous with the amount of the meat too, which was tender and juicy. The naan with goat cheese absolutely blew my mind. The cheese was so rich and flavorful. It pairs very nicely with the sauce. The dessert is also outstanding. The gulab jamun is delightful. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was modern and pleasant.
Delightful lunch experience this week. The restaurant is intimate and cozy. The dishes were flavorful and unique. The vegetable samosas were delicious, as were the mango salad and tomato rasam soup as apps. There were many flavorful vegetarian options. The dingiri jalfrezi was truly remarkable. The service was prompt and super friendly - Thirza was so attentive and gave us great personal suggestions. Don't skip the pistachio kulfi and the madras coffee - truly remarkable. I will be back!
Great Indian food at a surprising location! Everything we had was super flavorful, fresh, authentic-tasting and delicious. the korma was very creamy and tasty, and per our request, not spicy at all, suitable for kids. We had a chickpea saag, which wasn’t on the menu, but our server kindly offered to have it made for us, and it was excellent. The samosas were delicious and fresh. The garlic naan was exceptional. Service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The space looks upscale, very pleasant and relaxing. Will definitely come back next time we’re in the area!
Had a wonderful dinner here with my family to celebrate my father’s birthday. There was an impressive selection of vegan options, with dishes that were automatically vegan or could be adjusted to be vegan (and all clearly labeled). Highly recommend the cauliflower appetizer and saag. Everything was delicious, can’t wait to come back!
10-24 UPDATE We entered restaurant Friday 4:50 pm and MANY available tables — we did not have a reservation — we asked to be seated and then asked if we had reservation which we didn’t and employee told us we couldn’t dine there as no reservation as per owner and to contact owner when she returns in 30 min. No thanks - we enjoyed another restaurant with kind employees - and my friend lives a 2 min walk from here and the owner was friends with his late mom who passed away. Hmmmmm Excellent restaurant center of Rhinebeck, NY !! Loved the staff, owner, the surroundings, the delicious calamari, garlic naan bread, and my grilled boneless chicken with almonds, cashews, peas etc cream sauce - perfection ❤️ We shall return !
We've visited this restaurant multiple times, and I'm pleased to note significant improvements since our last visit. Previously, the food arrived cold, but this time it was served warm and full of flavor. The service was prompt, with our order reaching the table within 15-20 minutes. We began with the samosas paired with green chutney, which were delightful. For the main course, we chose the Murgh Shahi Korma, which could have been spicier, (So if you like spicy, I would not recommend this dish) and the Bhindi Masala, accompanied by naan. Dessert featured garam halwa with an ice cream topping, complemented by chai. The servers were friendly and attentive, enhancing our overall experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.
Better book online or by phone, always crowded. Place is very pleasant, service is amazing. We got lychee martini and mango Lassi. Calamari appetizer, with tons of veggies and spices, unusual but good. Lemon and coconut rice as side, radjastan mughi chicken🌶️, Chichen korma and chicken Tikka massala, Tikka massala wasn't as nice for us, it tasted more like tomatoe sauce, it was plain. Golub jamun for desert, we call it Indian doughnut, with ice cream and pistachios, yummy. All tasteful except Tikka massala.
