Following positive online reviews, I dined at the establishment last evening. The cuisine was flavorful and well-spiced; the kothu parotta was particularly delicious, while the Singapore-style chicken lollipop and kodi Raju chicken were also commendable. The mutton biryani and chicken curry with garlic naan were equally satisfying. The restaurant's ambiance, though intimate, was pleasant. However, a 30-minute wait and slow service were noted, likely due to understaffing. To enhance operational efficiency, the addition of a front-of-house staff member to manage phone orders and assist the existing team is recommended.
One of the best Indian food we’ve ever had! Great service and amazing food. Delicious!
Service was great and everything was delicious especially the chicken 65 and masala dosa!
Incredible food. Mamsam Roast was so so good. I also really enjoyed the Chicken Curry. Parking can be a little unclear/confusing, make sure you enter through new bridge! The food is worth it. The service is very good, and we were very kindly treated
The food here is amazing! Great selection on the menu and everything tastes delicious, perfectly seasoned, and authentic. And everything is very fairly priced with good portion sizes. There was plenty left over to take home. I’d absolutely recommend coming here - it’s some of the best Indian food I’ve had on Long Island.
This is my 6th time here. I can't say enough good things about the amazing food Taste of Chennai has to offer. The Mamsam Roast is an absolute Must Try! You'll be blown away by the abundance of flavor . Repeat customer continuing to rave the homely service and savory goodness of authentic Chennai food.
This is the best Indian food I’ve had. The tea is also made quite well. The waitress is very kind and patient; she took her time to explain each dish to us and also recommended some. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere feels like home. Be sure to make a reservation before you visit, they’re always full. And leave a generous tip.
