The food is really good and the portions are enough for one person in the maharaja thali. We enjoyed the bajri roti and the chaat too. The dishes were homey and delicious. The only complaint was the bati was slightly raw making it difficult to eat. The ghevar rabdi is to die for. Must visit place for Rajasthani food and chat. Would definitely return to other dishes
The best Indian food I’ve had in the states!!! All the dishes were so delicious and authentic. The service was wonderful and everyone was so kind and attentive to us. The meal felt so special with the leaf covered plates! The inside of the restaurant felt so warm and happy with the beautiful and bright murals on the walls. I loved it so much I ordered more dishes to go to take home to my family. Will be returning again next time!
The best Rajasthani food in the States I have had. The staff is courteous and also accommodating. We had called for - pyaaz kachori chaat - sev tamatar - shahi paneer - tawa roti - chaas Each dish was better than the previous. If you have always had paneer then try kachori char and sev tamatar. You’ll definitely relish it. On a special request, we also were given the Lasun Chutney. I must say, it tastes just like the way our Maharajs make back in India. Being a Rajasthani, I highly recommend Bhookhe!
2/22/25: First visit had the thali which is good but the real stars I had on the second visit: pani puri, pyaaz kachoriz, the paan shot, and the dessert rabri ghevar.
As a Marwadi who has grown up savoring Rajasthani food, I can confidently say that Bhookhe offers an authentic and delightful experience. The Maharaja Thali and Sartaj Thali were a feast for the senses, with staples like dal baati, gatte ki sabzi, kadhi, lehsun chutney, and sweets. Every bite transported me back to Rajasthan. The pav bhaji was flavorful, and the refreshing buttermilk complemented the meal perfectly. Bhookhe’s dedication to showcasing the rustic essence of Rajasthan is evident in every dish. I enjoyed the food so much during my first visit that I drove 1.5 hours from San Diego just to savor it again! If you’re craving authentic Rajasthani cuisine, Bhookhe is a must-visit.
This is a very authentic type of Rajasthani food very first in Los Angeles I have never had Rajasthani food in America if I have to say. I looked at the menu and they have all sorts of Rajasthani food and delicacies that you would typically get in the state of Rajasthan. I went there with my mother and we tried Dal bati and khardi paneer. there were other food to in the menu that I would want to try to see how they are making. It's a nice decent size restaurant.
I tried Maharaja thali, it was the best combination of all Rajasthani delicious food items. Pyaz kachori chaat was the best with unique taste. Rabri ghevar was very mouth watering and it was the best sweet in LA. Service was very fast and top notch.
