A great little Indian restaurant (about 15-20 tables) with delicious Indian food. The food came out hot and the flavors were full and well developed. The curry had a nice spicy essence. The chicken biriyani had moist chicken (bone-in) and well cooked rice. The shrimp fried rice had a great combination of flavor between Indian & Chinese spices and flavor. The naan (garlic and bullet) were toasty on the outside with a soft inside. The service was friendly. I would have appreciated them letting us know as they were preparing - took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive. It’s a small parking lot however when we came at 7pm Saturday there was ample spots available. Overall a 5 star experience. I’d highly recommend and we’ll be back!
Saw several recommendations for ruchi's Indian food, decided to give it a try today. Had a delicious mango chicken curry with white rice and butter naan bread. It was so good, I also ordered the chicken with noodles and vegetables to bring home for dinner later tonight. Highly recommend the restaurant, there were several people there eating when I arrived. I always like to check out the other tables to see what they're eating and it looked delicious too. Can't wait to go back and try more off their menu.
First time going here with my mom and we both had a very pleasant experience! would highly recommend this restaurant the menu has a great variety and everything was executed well. They are very knowledgeable and pour their heart into their restaurant what more can you ask for as a consumer! will definitely be back for more
We called around 8:30pm to see when the kitchen was closing and they were so nice on the phone! We headed in at 9pm and they still accepted us and our orders (Butter Chicken, Vindaloo Chicken, and Chicken Biriyani), and were so kind about everything. The service was amazing and we tried eating as fast as we could before closing, but the staff were so nice and kept telling us it was okay! Love this place so much and I’m grateful that the staff made the atmosphere so wonderful. Also, the food was to die for and is legit the best experience we’ve ever had.
This place is amazing and I recommend it to everyone. Everything we had was delicious, starting with the garlic mushroom and the corn soups (plus you get a ton of soup, the recess in the plate underneath means that it's basically flush with the table and it holds a lot of soup). It was a perfect on a cold (for Houston) day. Appetizers and entrees were just as good if not even better. We got vegetable samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goat Biryani, cheese naan, garlic naan, and tandori roti. The portions are all enormous and everything had so much flavor. Capping it all off was their house-made mango ice cream. I just drove home and I'm still thinking about it. It's in little chunks that are relatively solid but not frozen, so it's just like the right amount of cold. And I think turmeric is in there because our mouths were orange and my wife said her joints felt less inflamed after lol. I'm sure their takeout is just as good but everything there is served in cool metal plates and bowls. I can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back (we still have to try the coconut ice cream and the gulab jamun amongst other things). 10/10
The food was delicious! I 100% would recommend anyone to come. I got the butter sauce lamb, my brother got tikka masala and my friend got the lamb korma and they were all delicious. I highly recommend to get the mango ice cream too.
We have ordered takeout from this place frequently, but had never gone to dine in. We went with a group of 6 people and they were able to accommodate us easily. We had a great time overall! The food was wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The samosas were hot and crispy, but the chicken 555 was one of the best appetizers I have ever had. The chicken had such a good crunch in the outside without being dry, and the sauce was delicious. The mango lassi had more of a yogurt flavor than others I have tried which I liked. We ordered all of our dishes medium which had excellent flavor, but wasn’t so hot you were sweating. We had the madras curry with lamb which was tasty, but our favorite curry was the methi curry. The bowl was scraped clean when we finished. That is gonna be my go to dish from now on. The garlic naan was also SO GOOD, so crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. We liked the paneer biryani quite a bit as well, lots of good spices and flavors. We haves tried other biryanis here in the past but the paneer is our favorite. We also got a dosa which was HUGE, interesting flaky texture and quite tasty. We also liked chapati, we just preferred the garlic naan. We tried the Indian salad which was a platter of veggies with some spice mix sprinkled on top, very cooling and it paired well with the other dishes. We did have the tandoori platter (non veg) which was a special that weekend, we liked the tandoori chicken drumsticks and the shrimp, but didn’t love the fish or the other chicken dish as they were dry, but still with good flavor. The presentation overall was gorgeous and the decor was cute. Small space with about 10-15 tables, but it was utilized well. The parking lot is small but we had no difficulty finding parking. We will definitely be back!
