We ordered the chicken Tikka and butter chicken with garlic Naan. The spice was flavorful- the person serving was friendly. We will 100% be back- the best in York!
Delicious and recommended. Locals, this is the Pho Bistro of Indian food: one of those restaurants with a poor location, simple atmosphere but FANTASTIC food!!! I got the coconut shrimp curry and my wife got the chicken saag. Naan bread was perfect and so was the rice. Good size portions.
Wow! Delicious. We found ourselves in York on a Saturday night and had a craving for Indian cuisine. What a gem! This restaurant looks very new, it was so clean and the staff was so kind. We ended up trying new dishes and what a treat. Everything we ordered was excellent. Momo was an intimidating firetruck red butwe ordered it mild and my 10 year old almost ate the whole plate. The Chicken Tikka was piping hot and great with the Tamarind Chutney that came with it. I ordered the Chicken Thali and it was a gorgeous variety platter of flavors. It looked like a artist's pallet and it was empty when I was done. Perfect. And the best was... we had leftovers.
Interior was very well done and attractive with nice seating area bar and also small band stage . High ceilings with fans !! Exterior is not that appealing and limited parking space for may be 15 cars
The absolute blow your mind flavor of a place! Indian cuisine is a very hard one to rate as an American, it's just so complex. But, I do know this, it's by far the most flavorful cuisine in the world and this place delivers that. For those of you trying for the first time, go with Chicken Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken.....you will sure to be blown away. Will definitely be back. There was a miscommunication between our server and the kitchen but all was fine in the end!
We ordered in the restaurant for take away. The 2 meals were quickly ready and the service was really friendly. Restaurant was empty with a little bit too cold atmosphere for my taste, but we did not stay there anyway. However the chicken tikka masala and the garlic naan are really good and tasty. As was the butter naan and the Paneer tikka masala. Thanks to the owner for a really good indian meal.
Excellent food! My husband and I get carry out at least 2-3 times per week! Food is absolutely delicious! Beats fast food any day! Friendly service. They know our order by heart. If they get busy, it's worth the wait! I would love to eat there every day!!! A+++
