I had an incredible meal at Nalan Indian Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The menu had a fantastic variety of both North and South Indian dishes, and everything we tried was packed with authentic flavors. The biryani was delicious, the curries were rich and perfectly spiced, and the chili chicken was soft and fresh. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put real care into every dish. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to . Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!
We recently visited this restaurant as a group of six and found the experience quite enjoyable. 🅿️ was hassle-free, thanks to the spacious parking lot. The restaurant wasn’t too crowded, so we quickly got a seat and started exploring the menu, beginning with soups and appetizers. We ordered the Chicken Pepper Soup, which was excellent, and a variety of chicken appetizers, including Chicken 65, Chicken Lollipop, Karam Podi Chicken, and Tawa Fish Fry. The Karam Podi Chicken was already spicy, but we opted for the spicier version, which turned out to be too hot for me, though the rest of the group loved it so much that we ordered another plate. For the main course, we tried Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Noodles, Boneless Chicken Biryani, Goat Curry, and Naan. The fried rice, noodles, and biryani portions were a litte more that it is easily enough for two people to share, so we had to pack some of it. The Goat Curry, however, was underwhelming, and the naan was just average. We ended the meal with desserts like Rasmalai Ice Cream and Mango Lassi, both of which were delightful. Overall, this felt like an Indian restaurant in the locality where most of the food items were delicious and the service was quick too. We also saw a robot carrying foods for the pick up orders as well. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, it felt worth it for the quality and experience.
First time tried the tandori chicken platter... it was so delicious with perfect spices and served with the best favor sauces... the staff was very kind and helpful.
Nalan Indian Cuisine in Downingtown is a fantastic local spot for Indian food. We tried several different dishes, and each one was delicious. The flavors were authentic, and the quality of the food was impressive. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommended if you're looking for great Indian cuisine in the area!
I’ve been to Nalan Indian Cuisine a few times now, and every visit has been consistently great. This time I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the Paneer Tikka Dosa—definitely a win. It was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and packed with just the right amount of spice. I also crushed the Chicken Lollipop—crispy, juicy, and seriously addictive. Everything I’ve tried here has been excellent. Highly recommend if you’re into bold flavors and trying something new!
Authentic recipes, absolutely fresh ingredients and a pension for tech makes this place a stand out. For instance, the rest Malay had real strands of saffron in it. The Guntur chicken was absolutely fresh and soft while being laced generously with spices. The proteas were made with requisite amount of flaking. The staff we contracted with were wonderful to our children, very kind and flexible.
Went here on a date night. We've been to Nala many times and are never disappointed. We're not into anything too spicy and they work with us all the time, giving extra yogurt so that we can add it to our liking. We definitely recommend this place!
