Pretty decent place to get your curry fix. Both our chicken and lamb dishes tasted good and matched the spice level that was requested. Onion pakora to start with was excellent. Will stop by again when in the area.

Super authentic, delicious Indian food. We stopped in because the nearby gastropub has closed, and we're delighted with the service and food. We had the lamb curry, chicken dum biryani, and garlic naan, and all were tasty, with large chunks of meat and a nice level of shareable spiciness. My husband also recommends the Taj Mahal lager 22oz. Beer as being refreshing. Unfortunately, we ate everything before thinking about writing a review, hence the empty plates.

I'm thrilled to update my review of Natural Desi, a hidden gem in San Diego's Indian food scene. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I've noticed significant improvements in 2024 compared to my previous visits in early 2023. *Quality, Quantity, and Options Upgrade* The quality of food has noticeably improved, with more generous portion sizes and an expanded menu offering a wider variety of options. *Chaat and Snacks Excellence* Natural Desi still shines with its mouth-watering chaat options, such as panipuri, pav bhaji, and crispy spring rolls. These dishes are a must-try! *Main Course Enhancements* While the main courses previously fell short, I've noticed a welcome increase in flavor and excitement. Dishes like paneer, baigan bharta, and soya chaap now showcase improved depth and complexity. *Top Indian Restaurant in San Diego* Considering these upgrades, Natural Desi has secured its spot amongst the top Indian restaurants in San Diego. *Recommendation* For those seeking authentic Indian snacks and appetizers, Natural Desi is an excellent choice. While it may not offer an extraordinary fine dining experience, it's perfect for satisfying cravings for delicious, homemade-style Indian cuisine. *Rating:* 4.5/5 *Will I return?* Absolutely!" ——————————————————————- I recently tried out Natural Desi, a San Diego restaurant known for its authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine. I must say, I had a mixed experience overall. Starting with the appetizers, the chat menu at Natural Desi is quite impressive. I particularly enjoyed their panipuri, pav bhaji, and spring rolls. The flavors were well-balanced, and the panipuri was a burst of tangy goodness. The pav bhaji was rich and flavorful, while the spring rolls were crispy and filled with delicious fillings. These appetizers definitely set the tone for the meal and left me excited to try the main course. Speaking of the main course, I found it to be rather average. The paneer dish was decent, but it lacked that extra oomph that would have taken it to the next level. The baigan bharta, although well-cooked, tasted a bit bland and could have used some additional spices. The soya chaap, while a unique choice, was not very remarkable and left me wanting more in terms of flavor and texture. The ambiance of Natural Desi is pleasant, with warm lighting and comfortable seating. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth dining experience. The service was prompt, and the waitstaff was helpful in suggesting menu items. In conclusion, Natural Desi is a decent Indian restaurant in San Diego, particularly known for its delicious chaat options such as panipuri, pav bhaji, and spring rolls. However, when it comes to the main course, the dishes like paneer, baigan bharta, and soya chaap fall short in terms of flavor and excitement. It might not be the top choice if you are looking for an extraordinary dining experience, but it can still satisfy your cravings for Indian snacks and appetizers.

Date night and new to the area. Found this restaurant on google. Why not? We went in and it was empty usually not a good sign. However, as we browsed the menu, we noticed that it was a nonstop in and out of people taking takeout bags to go. So we thought the place was pretty good because the people just kept coming and leaving and coming and leaving so we sat down look at the menu some more and decided on our dishes. The interior design I will say it’s a eclectic. I don’t think it’s authentic however it is pretty cozy and interesting inside love the fact that the waiter is part of a family that owns this place and really went over the menu in detail. We decided on butter chicken, some vegetarian curry dish, and it all came out beautiful and it was very delicious and sidenote, quite reasonable as far as prices concerned Gonna make this and you take out place for us However there is plenty of room in the dining room to accommodate large groups, small groups and they even have a kids menu so don’t be afraid to bring the whole family. The owners are very nice and if you have any questions they are ready to answer it give it a shot. Let me know what you think.

Amazing Indian food. Found one more gem in San Diego for good Indian food. Visited this restaurant for lunch last week during a weekday. We ordered vadapav, pav bhaji, paneer khurchan and spicy potatoes. Could not have been better on taste and service. The vadapav was really soft and of perfect spice level. Spicy potatoes are basically potato fries sauteed in onions and sauces. The staff is super friendly and the location is also very convenient in Rancho Bernardo. They have created a nice desi vibe by putting an autorikshaw front in one corner along with lot of posters with desi phrases. Also on one side they have hung lights in tea pot shaped lamp shades. Really unique and authentic. Will surely visit again.

Yummy Indian food. Very clean and friendly. I’m obsessed with the chili chicken. They also offer lunch specials that has a little bit of everything. And after that make sure to try the mango lassi. So so good. Best Indian food in the area.

Indian cuisine that is uniquely different from most other restaurants in San Diego area. Food was mouthwateringly delicious amd price was reasonable. Located in a very beautiful shopping complex area, ideal for family gathering and friends get together. I loved their govi manchurian and veggie roll. And above all, the staffs are super friendly and serve you with a big smile. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
