My son and I came here for the first time and we both loved it. We can’t wait to come back with the whole family. Service was incredibly fast and friendly.
"Class A1", Indian restaurant in Kokomo and surroundings cities. Awesome indian dishes options. Their "thali" options are the best option with lots of items to try at a very reasonable price. I ordered non-veg thali. Each item cooked to "indian perfection". Delicious and Mazedaar. I will be back again for more "Indian Zaika". Just so you know, "Zaika" means "Taste". Enjoy!!!
This was my first time here after my mom had been here and raved about it. The garlic naan was delicious. I had the lamb tikka Masala at medium-hot spice level it was very flavorful with decent meat portions. I was able to finish with vanilla ice cream and brownie which was big enough to share. I definitely will be coming back as well as this is my favorite experience at an Indian restaurant.
My friend and I wanted to shake things up for lunch and try something different and we were thrilled that we did. We came in right when they opened on a normal weekday and both ordered a special that included chicken butter masala, lamb curry, white rice, chicken tandoori, garlic naan bread, some carrots, cucumber, and tomato, and rice pudding. It was so good that I literally came in the next day and ordered the chicken butter masala. It is a bright red sauce that has saffron and a sweet note to it. The curry was just spicy enough to dampen my pores and tasted of garlic, which I love. The service was amazing. The staff were very polite and checked in on us several times during our dining experience. They kept our drinks refilled before they were even empty and I tipped them very well. The ambiance was also very nice. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and modern, with a generous sprinkle of Indian flare with decals and pictures on the walls. The bar was tidy and neat and everything was clean, even in the bathroom. It is not surprising that I say I will be back and it will probably be very soon. Take a chance and go. Try something different and go with the chicken butter masala. You will NOT be disappointed.
This place is amazing. The food is so good. By far the best Indian food that we have had in the United States! Everything is delicious, the staff is super nice, and the updated restaurant is beautiful. This might be my favorite restaurant ever! We had Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, Samosas, Chicken 65, and some cheese sticks and mini corn dogs. Everything was awesome! We will be back often and we live over an hour away. Definitely worth the drive!
The samosa 2 piece was phenomenal. All of the food came out wonderfully, and beautifully. The inside of the store is very clean, and the waiter was incredibly considerate. He once came over to check on us because we weren’t eating, but instead talking about the food. We let him know that we were only discussing how delicious it was! We also ordered the chicken tandoori and the Zaika Special Mixed Grill. I asked for extra spicy on mine. While it wasn’t a tear-jerker, it was nice. The spice wasn’t overwhelming but it was hot enough, it didn’t mask the flavor. The menu is short and concise, with more focus on the quality of the food rather than the quantity. It’s easily worth more than the price, with the large portions. Next time, we are going to try their lunch special Thali and finish it off with an order of Gulab Jamun, or even order one of their pizzas :)
KOKOMOans... Get it!? Anyways... If you've followed any if my past reviews you'll notice that I travel around the country and often... Having the pleasure of dining at many establishments throughout the US. Let me be the first to say this about Zaika Indian Cuisine... You are VERY FORTUNATE to have this wonderful restaurant and staff to service this microcosm of the midwest. The food here stands to to toe with some of my favorite Indian restaurants in Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads and Bombay Mahal up in Brunswick Maine. If you Love or want to experience good tasting Indian food... At least for America, please come here...this is also the first restaurant I've experienced where they actively walk around and hand out fresh cooked Naan during buffet lunch hours. Worth every penny and then some. Once the secret gets out the parking lots will be full for lunch buffets. The butter chicken has a slight spicy kick... Which I prefer! The fried rice (never had at an Indian place) light and fluffy and DELICIOUS! The Kheer/rice pudding dessert Amazing. Apparently if you like "Indian Hot" you can ask for them to bring you a small container of hot chillis on the side. Please Patronize this fine establishment... You have NO IDEA how Great a restaurant is here serving Kokomo if you haven't yet dined.
