This is by far our favorite Indian food spot, especially since it is buffet style, and we can have small amounts of each dish that we like most. Everything here is fantastic, very fresh and delicious. They have hot Masala Chai Tea ready to go, but you can also order a Mango Lassi. My favorite menu items here are the Chili Chicken, Butter Chicken or the Chicken Korma, Dal, Saffron Rice, and Tandoori Chicken, with a side of sliced raw onions, yogurt sauce, and Achaar (Indian pickles). The Vegetable Samosa and their Garlic Naan are both fresh and go well with the meal, and they have sides of Mint & Tamarind Chutney sauce. For dessert, we like to have some of the Kheer (Rice Pudding) with Carrot Halwa and Gulab Jamun. This place is the best :)
Bomb.com That’s how amazing this place is. Royal indeed. We’re regulars and we’re coming back again and again and again. One of our favorite spots. On point every time. Waiters are sweet and fast. Owner very friendly and humble, greets you with a genuine warm smile. Love ❤️
Even outside, one can smell the rich exotic spicy aroma of the place. Inside, a wonderful mix of providing casual dining as well as a banquet hall, with some outdoor space available for overflow. Greeted by a pleasant gentleman, I was offered a choice of naan bread, which was served fresh and hot. The buffet had an excellent variety to offer, of which I sampled several choices. The interior was simple, but clean and neat with some beautiful artworks and a monitor with Bollywood works for ambiance. All in all, a most pleasant and satisfying experience. I thank the owner and staff for a wonderful service and I wish them success and prosperity in the business. May it thrive and always be excellent in the valley. Thank you.
We came for a tasting to choose a restaurant to cater a wedding. Holy cow, was this good!!!! He highlight was the Channa Bhatura - smoky, aromatic, cooked to perfection. That being said, the paneer tikka masala, saag paneer, idli, pakora, sambaar were all fantastic, and the ghobi Manchurian was very good as well. We did order bindhi which was a bit middling, however everything was very well cooked. Naan was soft and buttery with a nice crisp crust and plenty of air with a slight chew. The flavors all around were complex, layered with a perfect balance of salt. I will say the spice level was wonderful for a “general” audience, but when we asked to tweak it up for our palate, they served us a beautiful daal makhni with a good kick. Finally, the chutneys were home-made, great blend of sweet and spicy. Went great with the Samosas! The wait staff was so sweet and efficient, the owner and chef came out to speak with us throughout the meal, and the atmosphere was nice and quiet, perfect for conversation. The only negative here, is there was a television in my eyeliner, just stuck on pause. Fair warning - this restaurant is next to a banquet hall (also owned by the restaurant?) and the music and sounds carried over - but it sounded fun! All in all, a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely back, and everyone in our party unanimously voted to request Royal Delhi Palace to cater the wedding!
I grew up on Indian food cause that's my heritage and I must say this is the tastiest I have EVER found! Their superb and artful combination of traditional spices is spot on and I consider myself a fairly creative and talented chef and a discriminating gourmand... lf you want an exceptional culinary experience that stands out from the many good Indian restaurants don't miss this place!
My first time trying this place. I ordered the Gobi Manchurian (with medium spicy) and a side of the curry seed white rice. The flavor was on point and the texture was perfect. Definitely will be back to order many more times.
5/5 Quality of Food 5/5 Quantity of Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Value (Price to Food + Service) Nice little Indian restaurant. They serve a lunch buffet daily and it's hard to beat the price coming in at $10. Food is good but not the best I've had, however they offer a wide selection so they make up with variety. Definitely places high in terms of value.
