If you’re looking for authentic Indian food this is your place! We had the best experience and meal here. The waiter was very kind and made us feel very welcome. We got the butter chicken and the lamb Rogan Josh and we were blown away with how delicious it was! We definitely be back at least once a week. 10/10
I am blown away by how great this place is. One of the best Indian buffets I have had in terms of flavor, variety, quality, and value. Food is delicious, the server Joy was a wonderful person and the place is very cleanly! Chicken is moist and tender, naan is hot and soft, and many dairy and gluten free options. I will be back. FIVE STARS. This place should be packed every day.
I recently dined at India flame, and it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant offers a delightful array of dishes, both on their buffet and à la carte menus. The flavors of the food were truly impressive, and I particularly enjoyed tandoori chicken . The service was impeccable, with the staff going out of their way to ensure a pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for its fantastic food, service, and ambiance, especially for their delightful lunch buffet.
Originally they did not have a buffet so we would get three dishes and split between the two of us for two or three meals. As they have the buffet now, we typically go to lunch [embarrassed to say] times a week. We have food sensitivities and they are good at making accommodations (if ordering off the menu). Buffet has a description of the dishes noting if they are gluten/dairy/nut free, etc. When ordering off the menu, you can actually ask for light, med, hot spice...even with vindaloo and chettinad, which I never knew was an option as no other restaurant had ever offered the option before. That's always been my issue with those, I don't want to just eat to be in pain with the heat, I'd like to taste the flavors and getting either dish in medium is perfect for me. We always get either a madras coffee (like a latte) or a chai tea. Rice is always perfect, naan is one of my favorites. Seating is comfortable with booths and tables. Take out is easy. Staff is always very nice! Pricing is very reasonable especially with the quality. Food always is fresh. We haven't needed them but they do catering quite often also. Highly recommend Indian Flame and are thrilled to have them close by! They're only 10 minutes from downtown Troy, HVCC, and Rensselaer Tech Park. Yes, it's on the other side of the river but it's really not that hard to get to (I'm from the other side but now live here and I know many people think that crossing over the Hudson is like a major trek). Parking is very easy. Decent lot in front of strip mall (same plaza as Family Dollar, Okinawa and Saududee Thai). There's also a large lot to the side of Okinawa (behind the gas station), which is large enough for a truck pulling a trailer too (even an 18 wheeler).
We ordered Tandoori chicken, paneer tikka and fish tandoori and all appetizers were good. Chicken chettinad was the best. Chicken Kadhai not so good. Malai Kofta was good too. For goat we Odered Roganjosh and that was decent too. Naan and Gulab jamun was awesome
Indian Flames offers an exceptional dining experience with authentic, flavorful dishes and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The service is top-notch, and every dish, from the butter chicken to the naan and biryani, is perfectly crafted. A must-visit for anyone craving delicious, high-quality Indian food! Highly recommended!
Often, in Indian restaurants, food is great but there’s room for improvement for service, well, Indian Flame has both great food and great service. We went for various occasions several times and it has been consistently great. Their menu offers many items that are not that common in a lot of Indian restaurants I have been to like several fishes, varieties of goat, lamb, and more. Their buffet (tried twice) is varied. I appreciate that they don’t have huge quantities in the buffet so it stays warm and not there for hours. The buffet also includes a salad bar and fantastic desserts. We’re a little far for us, which is probably good as we would go there more often.
