Jay Bhavani Vadapav | Authentic Indian Food Restaurant In Bakersfield | Best South Asian Food Cafe

This was my first visit to Jay Bhavani Vadapav, and I’m already hooked! I live in San Francisco, but honestly—I’d make the trip again just for their dabeli. The flavors were on point, and the bread was unbelievably soft and fresh!!!! I also tried the jamun shots, and wow—what a surprise! Sweet, tangy, and totally unique. They really add something special to the whole experience. The service was super friendly, and it felt like a warm welcome right from the start. I also had the Chole Bature, and it did not disappoint. The chole was rich and hearty, and the bature was perfectly puffed and not greasy at all—exactly how it should be. Ohhh and sugar cane juice and it was just so good! There’s plenty of parking, which is always a win, and the prices are super reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. I couldn’t leave without taking extra food to go—it’s just that good. Dear Jay Bhavani: please open a location in Bay Area! We need this kind of flavor up here. Until then, I’ll be dreaming about that dabeli

The food was awesome! We did not know what to order, and our server gave us several delicious options-we enjoyed everything. I especially recommend the butter vadapav. Quiet, pleasant ambience and excellent service!

I had an incredible experience at Jay Bhavani Vadapav! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious—especially the Vadapav, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, packed with authentic flavors and just the right amount of spice. We also tried the Dabeli and Noodles, and they were equally amazing. Everything tasted fresh and full of traditional Mumbai street food flavors. The service was fast, and the portion sizes were generous, making it great value for the price. Whether you’re a fan of Indian street food or trying it for the first time, Jay Bhavani Vadapav is a must-visit! I’ll definitely be coming back.

First experience was great, atmosphere is a little dull, maybe they need some more time to light up the room or add some colors to it or something. Back to the food, they have traditional pani puri serving style stall, where u go up front and they have 6 or 7 different varieties of waters, from spicy to sweet to sour and some with a fruit kick to it, was interesting and really good, kinda surprised with thw variety of waters for it, but a good job. Also tried their sev puri and Bombay vada pav which were really good. Missed out thw fruit shots, heard they are good, so definitely next time that's on the menu for sure.

We stop by during our trip from SF to LA, and we are glad we did, it brought back so much memories from eating in India, there are so much verity to choose from, we could not order all so we may have to come back. Food, staff and service was awesome, we definitely recommend it for anyone who want to try Indian Street food with out flying to India.
