Daawat Indian Grill & Bar

Highly recommend for the quality of the food and ambience of restaurant. Great vegan and gluten free options. I loved trying the Aloo tiki appetizer (comes with 2 medium-sized potato patties with mint chutney and tamarind sauce) and Okra Masala (comes with basmati rice). I got it mild and it really was not spicy at all! :)

I can only comment on my takeout experience ordering on a Saturday night. Their website and online ordering system is very good. Menu is well updated with very easy to navigate tabs and comment section so you can have a space to type your request. Food was also made fairly quickly and they come hot. I asked for utensils for 4 on the order request and they have everything prepared for me! When I went around 8pm to pick up the order, there was some open table, so if you wanted to dine in, you can expect to get seated with minimal to no wait time on a Saturday night! Parking on the street might be tough in downtown, but there's plenty of parking garage near the area. I ordered the chicken Tikka masala mild for the kids, royal biryani lamb hot, chicken wings tandoor, some garlic naan, and also tried their lassi. My kids can eat the Tikka masala with no problem, they liked the rice and mango lassi. Everything was great overall and hits the spot. See my pictures!

Fantastic experience. The food was great! Tandoori chicken & Chicken Marsala was perfect! I will definitely be back at some point!! I loved it. It was flavorful & perfectly cooked. I am sure it is Americanized to some degree but it was perfection. I sat at the bar but got plenty of attention. They were polite and eager to please and see that I had what I needed. I even got a Togo order it was so good. They know how to cater to the right market. This is a hidden gym. Try it!

Loved this great restaurant. Had the lamb tikka masala with garlic naan and really enjoyed it. Service and atmosphere was great. Would go back anytime. Highly recommend.

Ordered a to-go for the second time from this place! Delicious food. The paneer tikka masala and veg kofta were awesome. Paneer was very soft. The quantity was good as well. The entre came with rice. Had ordered a garlic naan and was pretty impressed with its size. The hummus was okay - have had better ones but again quantity was generous. Enjoyed the veggie appetizer platter but not sure what the little wrapped leaf like item was (didn't smell good so avoided trying it). They also added complimentary Onion and Chilli salad on the side so plus points for that 😀

We recently visited Daawat restaurant in Seattle multiple times for lunch and dinner during our family trip, and it was a lovely experience each time! As Indian vegetarians, we found the restaurant extremely accommodating to our dietary requirements. They offer different spice levels to suit your preference, and the food was always fresh, tasty, and flavorful. The staff at Daawat are well-trained, courteous, and friendly. Our server, Preet, was absolutely fantastic. He not only helped us with our orders but also provided valuable insights for exploring Seattle. The restaurant is well located near the Seattle Convention Centre, making it a convenient choice for both locals and tourists. If you're in downtown Seattle and looking for delicious Indian food, I highly recommend Daawat.

I ordered to go, and the portions are still amazing! The extra hot butter chicken was still full of flavor and spicier than most places make it (sometimes I feel like extra hot isn't really that hot, but I loooveee spicy food and this place did it well). There was a great amount of chicken pieces in my curry. I also ordered paneer pakora and veggie pakora, both were delicious as well. The prices are also some of the better ones in the area- I will definitely be coming back!!
