This place is amazing. It’s not upscale but definitely has the flavor profile to be one. I got lamb curry and chai tea. Both were really good. Unlike other places, they actually cut the meat up into bit size pieces with no bones so that was nice. Overall 10/10. Bathrooms were clean. Btw they no longer do buffets. Edit: 2nd trip. Got the chicken tandoori. I forgot to take a pic when I first got it cause I was so hungry. It’s freaking amazing. Yogurt marinaded chicken. Got a side of rice to go with it and my usual chai tea. 10/10 for this dish. Will be back next week to try something else Edit: 3rd trip (I’ve actually came here more but I haven’t documented it) I got lamb curry. I was going to try and new one but I remember I liked it a lot the first time I got it. I also got the vegetable samosa which is similar to this Japanese croquettes but with a tougher shell. Dipped it into this sweet and the green sauce is medium spice so I asked for both inside. Saving one to go eat later. Overall experience was great. Although they are packed In here I got the food within 15 minutes which is great. 10/10 this visit
This was a wonderful experience. The staff were amazing, every single one Of them were kind and welcoming. The food was amazing and service was fast. They take pride in the appearance and cleanliness of their restaurant. Now is one of my favorite places.
After a long drive from Colorado and a chilly evening, I was hungry. Where I stayed had THE worst intersections for getting on and off the highway so I needed something close. My search revealed the Bombay Restaurant and Buffet. I headed over fast. Being the Monday night after Thanksgiving it was quite slow but that did not affect the food! This was hands down the BEST Indian food I have ever had. Vegetable pakoras, lamb vindaloo and garlic naan, along with an authentic cup of chai. If you ever find yourself in Gallup and want something a little different, definitely check out the Bombay Restaurant. You will NOT be sorry!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. Yeah it is at a truck stop, but if you're hungry and like Indian food this place will not disappoint. I got the tandoori chicken was just amazing. The tomato soup was literally the best I have ever eaten in my life so rich and smooth yet bursting with flavor! Compliment that with dipping in some delicious garlic naan and you will be fully satisfied.
The food was great, and the service was decent. Would visit again
Nice, pleasant, enjoyed my huge vegetable biryani, mild is spicy. Made for 3 meals afterwards. I wish I had cash to tip. The card reader zips through fast and did not give me time to add tip. Good authentic Indian food, lots of locals ordering to go. Can walk through service station to get to restaurant. Light, bright, open.
Food was so delicious, it's been a long while since I've had Indian food and let me tell you this was so good! The service was great! The food was out of this world. I had the Matar Paneer and my half had the Buttered chicken! We also grabbed some garlic Naan and Paneer Naan. We also had Samosas as a started and what I can I say delish. I'm a hard critic on food and I'll be here more often. 100/100
