I recently dined at this amazing restaurant, and I can’t stop raving about it! The food was an absolute treat – every dish packed the authentic flavors I’ve been craving. The fried rice was nothing short of ultimate, each grain perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. The chicken sizzler was sizzling hot and bursting with flavor – cooked to perfection. And the mutton bone soup? Wow! The depth of flavor in that broth was unforgettable, truly a highlight of the meal. On top of all that, the service was awesome – friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!
Authentic and delicious South Indian cuisine. Always packed for lunch, so come early. They close between lunch and dinner. Generous portions! I cannot handle the vegetarian meal by myself. Food and service are excellent. I prefer the dine-in but takeout was great too. Say "nandri" for thank you. Most of the patrons seem to be Indian. Sounds racist, but that's usually a good sign for ethnic restaurants in my book. I recommend the vegetarian meal (they have a non-veg version too). You get like 7 or 8 items plus rice, a bread product, and appetizer and dessert. The bathroom was clean, but outdated. I didn't deduct a star, but maybe should have.
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Austin! The service has always been amazing, and the food even better!! I love that they have chettinand and many of my favorite south Indian meals, and I've never had a bad dish. My personal favorites are the Gobi Manchurian and the rava dosa (with a side of masala). I highly recommend Sangam!
Stopped by on a Sunday right at opening and was seated promptly, even though it was already getting busy. I ordered the plain naan, Chicken Tikka Masala (mild spice level), and Chicken Sagnam Kurma (medium spice level). The Tikka Masala was absolutely a 10/10 — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Sagnam Kurma, unfortunately, was overly salty and very difficult to eat. I mentioned it to our server when he checked in, and he immediately offered to replace it with another dish, which I really appreciated. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere is vibrant and lively. I’d definitely return for that amazing Tikka Masala and open to trying more from the menu next time.
I recently visited this restaurant, and I have to say—I was absolutely blown away! Every single dish I tried was a masterpiece, leaving me speechless. The flavors, the presentation, and the overall experience were just incredible. The Chicken Fried Rice was perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of flavors and a lovely smoky aroma. The Chicken Kebab Sizzler was a showstopper—juicy, well-seasoned, and sizzling hot! The Mojito was refreshing and complemented the meal beautifully. But the real highlights? The Dindigul Biryani—so authentic and flavorful, packed with the perfect blend of spices. The Mutton Pepper Fry was spicy, tender, and simply mouthwatering. And don’t even get me started on the Mutton Bone Soup—rich, comforting, and bursting with deep, meaty goodness! Every bite was a delight, and I can’t wait to go back for more. If you’re a fan of bold flavors and top-notch food, this place is an absolute must- visit
THE PLACE TO GO!!! Amazing flavor, fantastic staff, mesmerizing aromas, and quick service ALL PACKAGED IN ONE RESTAURANT! I heard great things by many people before visiting. After dining in, this is the most phenomenal experience with south Asian cuisine! Fantastic job, Sangam!!!
Sangam Austin is a gem! Every dish we tried was outstanding. The Tamarind Fish Curry had the perfect balance of tangy and rich flavors, pairing beautifully with the Benne Dosa. The Appam with Coconut Curry was light, fluffy, and soaked up the curry in the best way possible. But the real standout was the special lotus root appetizer—crispy, flavorful, and absolutely terrific! The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance made for a great dining experience. Definitely a must-visit for anyone craving delicious South Indian flavors with a creative twist!
