Viceroy is a fantastic spot, especially if you're looking for great value during lunchtime. Their lunch buffet is always a win—offering a wide variety of flavorful dishes that are perfect for trying a little bit of everything. The chili chicken is a standout, with just the right amount of heat and a savory kick. And don’t miss the garlic naan—it’s the perfect side to scoop up all those delicious curries and dishes. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or new to it, Viceroy’s lunch buffet is a satisfying and flavorful experience you won’t want to miss.
I recently visited Viceroy Cuisine and Bar in Bakersfield and tried their chicken curry—it was absolutely phenomenal! The rich, aromatic sauce had just the right balance of spices, offering a perfect depth of flavor that lingered pleasantly on the palate. The chicken was tender and juicy, absorbing the curry beautifully, while the hint of smokiness and vibrant seasoning elevated the dish to another level. The portion size was generous, making it an excellent value. Pairing it with fresh naan or steamed rice truly completed the experience. If you’re in Bakersfield and craving authentic, flavorful curry, I highly recommend giving Viceroy Cuisine and Bar a visit!
I recently visited this restaurant quality of food was excellent tried vegetarian dishes from buffet paneer tikka and dal Makhni was creamy and satisfying. Highly recommended for both Indian food lovers and those new to the cuisine.
Visited about 2 months ago, food was excellent. Both the quality and quantity of food was very good. The employees were good too. They welcomed us with a warm smile and served us with great heart. I must recommend everyone to go there for good food. Great job🎀
For first time eating Indian food it wasn't what we expected in a good way .would recommend mild on spices in case you're not used to spicy food. Dishes were very delicious something different and the value of each order more than fair considering how fancy the place is inside and out. They are very family friendly and willing to accommodate to our needs. Customer service was amazing with them constantly checking up on us if we needed anything every 10/15 mins and making sure we were satisfied with our food.
I wanted to leave a review once I'd seen the entire facility and bathroom. I did not have the chance to do that. We lucked up and went in when it wasn't busy. By the time we left people were waiting outside. Great service. The mango lassi was so good. All the food we ordered was superb. We took home what we didn't finish of the butter chicken and it was even better the next day. I intend to go back to order different dishes. There is a bar here so I imagine the meat is not Halal but it's noteworthy that there is no pork on the menu. Easily the best Indian restaurant I've visited in Kern.
We tried the coconut soup it’s creamy and delicious ( my first time trying it) different of the Thai clear broth, that we are accustomed to order. The mixed meats plate had everything on it. My wife ordered the chicken tikka masala with extra yoghurt (for the light weight spicy likes) Now the garden salad was an exception, it came with no dressing and we had to ask for dressing which it took two trips. Maybe todays servers were inexperienced but they did their best to accommodate us Overall? We are coming back
