Thankfully Sweet 27 is all gluten free. I had a taste for pancakes this Sunday morning and its hard to get gluten free pancakes anywhere unless you make them yourself. I have my usual orders from here but picked items that I never had before. Everything came out so good! Especially the Mango Wings π€€and I never had hashbrowns the way they prepared them. Well seasoned and good choice of herbs! Kudos to the chef!!
I have always personally been a fan of Sweet 27 but thought I'd add a review from my wonderful experience coming here for work meetings and with catering for work events. Highly recommend! There is something here for EVERYONE's tastes/dietary restrictions/etc. The service is wonderful and there is never a wait for a table. All of our orders have been accurate and ready when they say it will be ready for pick up. They also are really thoughtful in providing forks/napkins etc. as needed with to-go orders. The portions are very generous. Choosing Sweet 27 for group orders is always the best way to go! Pro-tip: If you are lucky enough to be where when the cinnamon rolls come out of the oven--GRAB ONE! You won't regret it! (and yes, they're all gluten free)
This spot is a total gem. My friend and I popped in for gluten-free cupcakes and ended up getting lunch. The chicken curry and signature fries were both delicious and theyβd just made mint lemonade. We ended up going back a few hours later and getting take-out dinner (& more lemonade!) for our partners. The owner was so attentive and sweet. Incredible food and highly recommend.
Finally - a long overdue thank you to Sweet 27. This is more of an ode than a review. Last summer, Sweet 27 was the venue for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception. I truly can not say enough good things. Working with Suraj during the planning process was a breeze. He is a sweet and patient man with a ready smile and a desire to please - a caterer in the real sense of the word. He only wanted us to be happy with our event. Though we love Sweet 27's standard fare, the restaurant basically offered to prepare whatever we wanted. Suraj guided us through food and bar options and helped us choose a menu that was just right. Everything was delicious, plentiful, plated prettily, served hot, and pleased even those who thought they didn't like Indian food. Service (appetizers were passed and dinner was served family style), provided by Cyrus, Shud, and Vinita (pls excuse any misspellings) was professional and friendly, as alway. The restaurant was decorated, a speaker was hung, and after dinner, a little area was cleared for dancing. All in all, it was a magical evening. If you are even thinking about hosting an event at Sweet 27, please do not hesitate. If you are not thinking about it, maybe you should be! THANK YOU, SWEET 27. You will always be a happy place for our our family and friends.
Wow. Everything is gluten free, a lot is dairy free and delicious. It's a cute little place with a homey environment. We walked in through the little yellow side door and were greeted by a cute little bar. We decided to take a few steps up into the restaurant. The restaurant was warm and inviting. Violent Fems was playing on the speakers, and we found a table next to an outlet so we could do our homework. I had already eaten earlier so I ordered fries and a whiskey drink. Yum! The fries are dipped in a chickpea flour batter and fried. They were amazing. They have this cute little bakery with gluten-free and dairy free treats. We ordered treats "to go" along with soup. The treats and soup were amazing for a late night snack. My friend thought the music was too loud and couldn't study very well otherwise I would have sat there all night! I wanted to try so much on the menu. It has all my favorites, chicken wings to fried tofu and a great Indian menu with gluten-free naan! I will be back for sure! They have a thanksgiving menu to go that is gluten-free and dairy free, and comes with everything, including a pie! I'm not much into alcohol other than whiskey, but they seem to have a great drink list with unique beers and wine, too. Edit 1/14/25 - I have been here several times, and it's always five-star service and food! I have to shout out any crispy tofu dish as well as curry! Today, I noticed a new drink menu on the table. I ordered the Masala Chai Sour. It was delicious. I couldn't taste the liquor but could feel it! It has fresh lemon, their signature masala chi syrup, and bitters. We also had their Black velvet raspberry cheese cake that is a valentines special. It is not dairy free or vegan, but it's worth it if you have to take a lactaid!
Absolutely delicious food; fast, friendly service, and gluten free!! We decided to try this restaurant tonight and Iβm so glad we did! We enjoyed everything we ordered, from the appetizers to the entrees to the gluten free desserts! We will definitely be back! Fantastic!
My fam and I ate at Sweet27 during a day trip to Baltimore, and had a really lovely experience! We tried three of the lunch specials and mango lassis, and they were all tasty and delicious! The veggie kofta was the absolute favorite. The staff was sweet and kind, and the sweet and colorful atmosphere of the cafe was a lovely place to land and rest for a bit. Highly recommend!
