Cafe Turmeric

We stumbled upon Cafe Turmeric after our hike on the Kalalau Trail, and I’m so glad we did! The fish curry I had was absolutely incredible—honestly one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The flavors were rich, and the dish was perfectly balanced. A super tasty spot —definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area!

We decided to try this food truck as it was one of the few open on a Sunday afternoon. We had never tried Indian food but it sounded good. I ordered the coconut shrimp curry, very mild in case it was too spicy, and it ended up being super delicious. It seemed reasonably priced for a food truck. Only thing is they only take cash or Venmo but we were lucky we had cash on us. I would definitely try this place again sometime if I'm ever in the area again. I liked that there was picnic tables available to sit at considering it started pouring rain while we were waiting.

The food was super hot and super delicious!! We got the chana palak and veggie Jalfrezi, both were really good! Portion sizes were enough! All curries come with rice by default. Outdoor seating was casual.

Excellent shrimp curry and chicken tika masala. I make these dishes all the time, and I think their flavors were great. They didn’t over-cream the curries like many restaurants do, instead relying on the vegetables and spices. The hibiscus turmeric drink is great.

Our favorite spot to eat on Kauai. The food is so fresh and everything on the menu is delicious, especially the ono fish vindaloo. One of the best Indian foods we have tried, we came back for seconds.

The curry sauce was excellent!! This was our third time back since we've been on the island. Many years ago I had a really good curry in Fiji and this is the first time I found equal Curry since then which was probably 30 years ago. The owner was very accommodating.

What a great place, the food was fresh and piping hot when it was served. Wonderful flavors, I had the coconut veggie curry. I enjoyed tasting the Dal and medium spicy is not too bad at all. The Nan was also served hot and went so well with the dishes. The staff was wonderfully polite and friendly. I will enjoy returning here, bon appetit.
