Best Indian Food in Downtown/Highlands area! Jimmy's Corner Market has consistently been delicious! Whether I go in person or have it delivered via Door Dash, its always a treat. I'm partial to the tikka masala, but everything else I've tried has been great too. It tastes homemade; not just in the sense of the ingredients being fresh. Food served here tastes like it was made with love and care. The guys at the 1st street store are so kind and welcoming. I didn't know they also own Mom's Kitchen too. Will be going there soon to enjoy the buffet! :)
This place has very limited food options. But they serve the best food in the neighbourhood. They serve the Indian Cuisine. Just check out the Place . The employees at store are very polite and decent. Food 🔥💯 Service 💯 Hygiene 💯
We went to to this fantastic Indian take out the evening before Thanksgiving and the chef/ owner was very kind. The food was freshly made, hot off the stove and tasted amazing!!! We'll definitely stop there again the next time we're in town! Great food and good people!
So recently I got a chance to visit this place because we were craving for some Indian food! The best part was it was like a home away from home! A beautiful Indian lady is running it and the moment I tasted the food, I was back in the lanes of India! We were a group of people and ordered number of items! NGL each and everything was scrumptious and literally had a homemade touch ( because ofcourse as the name says Mom’s Kitchen)! We tried their Chilly Chicken, Butter chicken naan, Chicken curry and rice, chicken over rice (NYC style)!! All of them were so delicious and flavourful! They have Chai (tea) too ( incase you are really missing proper Desi tea)! The owner was so sweet that she personally came to us and was so open to feedback! Will definitely go back to this place for their taste and hospitality! I highly recommend it to anyone who is in Louisville and missing Indian food! #supportsmallbusiness
Rose and I went there last Thursday with some trepidation...it does not, after all, look like a restaurant at all. The menu is 100% Indian. We chose the chili cauliflower, the fish, and a curry chicken. Luckily it was a beautiful day so we could sit in their patio area. The clerk was super friendly and then Simi, the talented cook, came and helped us with our selections. ALL was delicious. The fish was FRESH, tender, flavorful, the cauliflower the best I've ever had. The chicken great! My only 2 trivial issues were 1) no fresh brewed iced tea at all; and, 2) the plastic utensils were simply too inadequate with which to eat. ?? Would we go back ?? MOST DEF!!!
Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants in Louisville! The food is consistently delicious, full of authentic flavors, and always leaves me wanting more. The patio is a perfect spot to unwind in the evenings—great ambiance for hanging out with friends or family. Plus, their delivery service is impressively quick, making it a go-to option whether you’re dining in or enjoying at home. Highly recommend!”
This is a small hole in the wall place with surprisingly good food that was ready in under 10 minutes. I got the Butter Chicken. The chicken was tender and flavorful, rice was cooked perfectly, and the naan was warm and topped with chopped garlic and herbs. The chicken and rice were in separate containers with a good serving of each. EDIT 2/2025: Some suggestions... 1. You should consider cutting your menu down to a few stand out items, like butter chicken, tikka masala, and a couple veg dishes (and of course chai). Better to have a small menu with really good food than a huge menu that never has everything available! 2. I would come here way more regularly if a bowl of butter chicken wasn't $15.99. That's a bit pricey. Also, I was disappointed to only get half a coffee cup of chai for $5.99.
