We came all the way from Chile—literally from the end of the world—for a short holiday in Hartford and to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossom gardens. In the midst of that outing, we stumbled upon this little gem of an Indian restaurant, which turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our trip. I had tried other Indian restaurants and buffets before, but none with the variety and richness of flavours we found here. Every single dish we tasted was a delight. The staff were incredibly kind, the food was spectacular, and the atmosphere was genuinely warm and welcoming. Highly recommended if you’re ever in town!
Food was very good. We had a large order and everyone enjoyed their meals. We appreciated the option to make some dishes vegan. We wish they labeled vegetarian and vegan on the menu so it would be easier to know what could be made veg. Will definitely have this restaurant on our list for the next time we are in CT.
Buffet review- excellent options for both veg and non veg! I visited 3 times till now 😀 VEG: Brinjal curry ( eggplant ) 4/5 Veg pulav ( biryani) 4/5 Pongal and sambar ( my favourite ❤️) 5/5 Dosa and chutney 4/5 Non veg: Mutton biryani ( 4/5) Butter chicken ( 3.5 /5) gravy is very flavourful but pieces are big ( can hinder the flavour) Multiple other options are there and most of them are really good. I loved the traditional South Indian options! Worth the money!
The best Indian food in the area - clean, consistent, and delicious. We eat here at least twice a month and will continue to do so.
We love, love this place! The food is so fresh, tasteful and delicious. We go there almost every Sunday. And the service is outstanding!
I find it hard to imagine anyone on earth who would’t fall in love with food this good. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by the friendly staff and the delicious smell of all the spellbindingly aromatic dishes in the restaurant. The light, chewy, perfectly browned garlic naan is a must, and the tandoori chicken is unbelievably succulent — I don’t know how they do it! Certainly the best I’ve had in the United States! The chettinad chicken was my favorite: fiery and well spiced with black pepper and ginger, the sauce was nonetheless light and elegant. The vegetable biryani was well made and strongly seasoned with cumin and saffron. It goes perfectly with the chettinad chicken. The only problem is that when you eat there, it’s impossible to have regular conversation: you’ll just be talking about how delicious the food is!
My wife and I live out of state but most all of our friends and family are in Connecticut. My wife is Indian, and we were looking for a familiar menu for our daughter's first birthday. The staff at Naatiya did a great job working with us to create a menu that would be good for all of our guests. The food was good, the service excellent, and the cost very reasonable. We will definitely consider coming back if and when we have another large gathering.
