We found this great Indian restaurant while visiting. The food was very good. We had the Tika Masala and Butter Chicken (not on the menu) along with naan and rice. Jafar, the owner was very nice and friendly. Highly recommend!
I love this place. This is just beside the santa Monica beach. You can also enjoy the view as well. I started with the tangy crispy cauliflower and I loved that so delicious, after-that I tried a mocktail unfortunately I forgot the name of this drink but once you drink it you will be addicted to it, so refreshing and not too sweet but a burst of flavors in your mouth. Service at Divani is very welcoming and the staff is so knowledgeable, they made our experience absolutely divine. We will definitely be coming back here.
I can’t sing enough praises for this restaurant, my absolute favorite! As someone with severe food allergies, dining out is daunting, but Jafar, the incredible owner, made it a dream. His thoughtful guidance ensured safe, delicious choices—every dish was a vibrant explosion of flavors, beautifully presented. Nestled by the beach, the lively yet serene atmosphere was pure magic. This gem of a place is a must-visit, and I’m already excited to return!
The food was so good! Same quality as home cooking. So many vegan options!! Almost or about half of the menu is vegan. Had the cauliflower, pani puri, samosa avocado chaat, and a fish dish that I didn’t actually read the name of. All of the dishes were SO delicious. The staff were super sweet and fun to chat with. If I lived around here I would opt to frequent this place so often that they would know me by name and order but I live out of state. But I’ll definitely aim to stop for a meal each time I’m in the area, it’s so good!
The best Indian food in the area hands down! This place has it all the location, the food, and the service. I highly recommend trying Chana Masala and Dal Makhani with Basil pesto naan, it definitely gave me a food coma. The owner himself is there to address to all your needs, makes it feel very welcoming. If you are looking for a great evening with fantastic food, dont think come here!
I had an absolutely amazing experience here. It was a date night and my husband and I had come for a cozy dinner by the Santa Monica Ocean, but the staff took it a step further and made our experience divine. Their recommendations were the Tangra Crispy Cauliflower, Malai Kofta, Daal Makhni, Garlic pesto naan and Rosemary naan. These dishes I can guarantee and very unique in flavor and the cauliflower is spicy and tangy! Definitely try their mocktail, it’s very refreshing and not like anything I’ve tried before. We will be coming back soon!
A hidden gem! Diwani Indian Bistro is a warm, family-owned restaurant with a beautifully traditional interior that immediately makes you feel at home. The service is genuinely welcoming and attentive. The fusion-style menu is creative yet comforting — every dish we tried was flavorful and thoughtfully presented. We left feeling full and satisfied. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a cozy, delicious Indian meal with a modern twist!
