Absolutely delicious. Loved the food at Chennai Cafe. For someone who is from Chennai - this place is a definite taste of home. The Vechu Parotta and Chettinad Chicken was delicious. The quantity and quality of the food was very good. The service was very good too. Very welcoming team, the chutney variety for the Kal Dosa was wonderful as well. We finished the meal with a yummy Kumbakkonam Filter Coffee - it’s surely a close second to the original. His place is a must try. Grab your next plate here, the spice level is just right - the tables were laid out evenly and it didn’t feel too cramped. With all the dishes I tried -I’d say try out Vechu Parotta and Chettinad Chicken and finish it off with a Kumbakkonam Filter Coffee.
Delicious food, spice levels are mild and kid friendly, and the hosts are very welcoming. We stopped here during our trip to Phoenix, and were very happy with all the items we had. Kari Dosa is a highlight- loved it! Filter coffee was good too. We also loved the malabar parota with chettinad chicken. Kids loved the chocolate dosa. Highly recommend if you are in the area and craving fresh, tasty, mild spicy Indian food in a welcoming atmosphere.
Everybody who worked there was absolutely amazing! So kind and patient and helping me out and so quick and attentive The food was absolutely the best! When I left I grabbed several business cards so I can hand them out to everyone so everyone else could go and also so everyone else can bring me back and get me more food. I ate until I was bursting and then I insisted on eating more. I don't know if I will ever go anywhere else
We came for the weekend lunch buffet and must say amazing food, very good flavors and a lot of options for both vegetarian and meat eaters. I loved the vegetable biryani, nowhere in America anyone cares to make it like this. The desserts and filter coffee were great too. Will definitely visit again if I'm in the area. Just one thing it was too spicy for me.
A great place for authentic South Indian food. Pricing is fantastic and there is a wide variety of options. The portions are large and very filling. The sambars are jain which makes it a great option. This place also appears to have a buffet, but we did not use that option.
wow! this food is absolutely incredible and i’ve been craving it ever since we left. so happy to know i've found my go to for indian food in the valley! the portion sizes were very generous and the prices were incredibly reasonable. the atmosphere wasn’t my favorite- think it could use some warmth/character… but that is truly my only critique. food is top notch... highly recommended!!
We were looking for good Indian food spots in the Scottsdale area and are so happy we found this spot. We ordered mango lassi, chaat papri, malai kofta and aloo gobi. Everything was fantastic! Everyone was so friendly and nice. We can’t wait to come back and try the dosa and thali. They have lunch buffet too!
