Good location for a meal before the theater. Good drinks, good food. The drunken botanist drink is the most interesting but the saar elixir is good if you just want an alcoholic mango lassi. I like naan and the eggplant appetizer. The pistachio Chicken is ok but the pistachio doesn't really stand out as an ingredient. The goat stew is pretty good but it was advertised as medium spicy but was less spicy than tapatio. Deserts were ok but can be skipped. Ice cream with noodles isn't my vibe.
delicious Indian food in nyc ! large and delicious portions. usually order takeout and it goes so smoothly ! they wrap the containers so well and none of the curries or sauces are ever spilled.
PERFECT spot to go if you want a great vibe and authentic Indian food. The staff was so kind and made our experience perfect. The atmosphere is on point and I had one of my top 5 most delicious meals in my life here. Already can’t wait to go back!
I recently dined at Saar Indian Bistro and had a fantastic experience! The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was attentive and made sure we felt welcome throughout our meal. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail, especially when it came to takeout. They don’t just hand you a box; they carefully pack everything, ensuring your food stays fresh and presentable. Also, I couldn’t help but notice how clean the bathrooms were—a small detail, but it made a big difference. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great Indian food with top-notch service!
Delicious Indian restaurant in midtown with a lot of options, north and South Indian. The chef used to have a Michelin star so they’re making creative dishes while staying true to the original flavors. My favorite was the paneer dish. Also was a lot of food, could barely finish just the paneer plate and naan!
Excellent Indian Eatery with delicious hot food served. Very posh serving drinks and great appetizers. Very classy and we enjoyed our visit and the dinner.
We had an excellent pre-theater experience at this reasonably priced Indian restaurant. There is one thing you must order is the butter chicken. The rich and creamy sauce matched with the tender chicken is just marvelous. One of the best things you'll ever eat. I can also recommend the various naan preparations and the rice pudding. The service was also welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere was very friendly with two birthday celebrations when we were there.
