I loved this food truck. Reminded me of NS bandi from Hyderabad. Loved the chicken 65, chicken fried momos, chicken fried rice, Egg and chicken chowmein is sooooo tasty. Will come back to Austin and again eat definitely at this place.
Mousam Spice House has really good food, good prices, and fast service. This food truck was really close to where I was staying, so I had to give it a try. I ordered butter chicken and samosas which came 2 to the order. The butter chicken came with rice. The sauce was very fragrant, nicely spiced, and it had a subtle sweetness. It was filled with cubed chicken. The chicken was a little tough, but it did not detract from the excellent flavor. The rice was light and fluffy. I like the sauce enough that I feel like I could eat it over rice, like rice and gravy. The samosas were cooked fresh when I placed my order. These are the biggest samosas I have ever eaten. They were triangular, with round, bulging middles. The filling was well mashed (but not pureed), perfectly compacted, and very flavorful. Of note, there were not too many green peas. I’m not a fan of those, and their sparse distribution was appreciated. The dough was thin, crisp, and not greasy. It was served with a small cup of spicy sauce. Yum! *no rating for atmosphere because I ordered to go. This is a food truck in an Exxon gas station parking lot, on Guadalupe St, just north of campus. There’s a couple of picnic tables. It’s not set up for atmosphere.
THIS PLACE IS SO F’N GOOD IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE! It’s some of the best food in Austin, I drive from San Marcos for it. It hits every single time, mad I didn’t find it sooner.
Chicken chow mein a little spicy was so tasty. I’d describe the flavor as Asian Indian curry. Noodles & veg plus thinly sliced chicken was served piping hot. Only negative was sitting on a bench in the hot sun, but I’d do it again 😋.
I came to Moussa spice house and I met a very respectful guy called Tilak. He prepared a delicious chicken Tike Masala for me. I like how friendly and respectful he is. Their truck is clean and the food is perfect.
Good food with amazing Indian flavors. Must try chicken chowmein along with paneer roll, Mexican style. Tilak, is a great chef and good person to chat with.
One of the best food spot to stop by while in Austin or on your way to San Antonio. We ordered Veg Fried Rice, Veg Steamed Momos and Noodles and all the items were delicious. We would definitely stop at this food corner the next time we are in the area.
