Rasika lives up to its reputation. We had high hopes reading reviews, and it was being featured on TV shows. We made reservations ( very strongly recommended). The house cocktails are very interesting. The Rashmi kabob was simply amazing. The lamb roll and eggplant starters was great. The duck vindaloo preparation was unique and combined with coconut Rice, it was mouth watering. Don't miss the desserts ...we tried and loved all of them !!

I've been pining to go to Rasika since I saw the Sweet Potato Samosas on a TV program a few years back and finally had the opportunity to go before visiting family in DC Thanksgiving week. We headed there directly from the airport, a reservation in hand and excited! It was everything we'd hoped for in terms of service, food quality and atmosphere. The place was packed around 6pm on a Wednesday...we were a little early for our reservation but they seated us right away. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and took very good care of us. The three of us (my wife and a teenager) all get the Vegetarian Tasting Menu which was a significant amount of food for the three of us. Everything was really good and beautifully presented. We especially liked the assortment of naan and the Dal sampler. (Especially especially the Dal Makhani.) Everyone got their own servings of each kind of Dal so we weren't all dipping into the same serving containers which was nice. The Sweet Potato Samosas were worth the trip to D.C. on their own. The dessert platter that came out as part of the tasting menu was out of control good and really gorgeous. There's so much more to try, especially for us vegetarians...we would definitely (DEFINITELY) come back and order more of what we had and some of the other (many) vegetarian options available. We were well fed and taken care of here.

Loved the inventive Indian cuisine, especially the palak chaat and the cod fish. Save space for desserts because they are sinfully good, especially the apple jalebi. Service is attentive and friendly!

Food was nice and simple. I like that it wasn’t oily. Also tried the mango lassi and it was solid! Gentle combination of flavors.

I usually avoid Indian restaurants in the US and when I visit I go with extremely low expectations I found Rasika to be excellent. Not just me but everyone in my family enjoyed. Variety of dishes was nice and taste was stunningly good. We took a friend of ours visiting the US. We ordered Scallop Balchao, Spicy Reshmi Kabab, Palak Chaat and Scottish Tandoori Salmon for starters. Scallop was slightly underwhelming but the rest were top class. For entree, we ordered Red Snapper Pollichattu, Halibut Goan Curry, Chicken Green Masala and chicken biriyani along with Truffle Naan, Roti and Garlic Naan. Red Snapper Pollichattu was a class apart. For Desserts we ordered Chocolate Samosa+Chocolate Mint Ice Cream, Gulab Jamun, Warm Black Rice Pudding+Coconut+Cardamom Ice Cream, Apple Jalebi (Beignet) with Cardamom Ice Cream, Date and Toffee Pudding and Rose Rasmalai. Warm Black rice pudding was a real standout followed by Rose Rasmalai. This is a crazy good place with great ambience. Service is excellent but the only small quibble is that it appears slightly cramped but the food more than makes up for it.

A friend recommended this place, and I’m so glad they did! I sat at the kitchen counter, and watching the chef in action was a treat—their skills and attention to cleanliness were truly impressive. My meal was absolutely delicious, and despite a busy atmosphere, the service was quick and attentive. The staff made sure I never waited for anything, and I felt genuinely well taken care of. For dessert, I tried the rose rasmalai. While the flavor was spectacular, I would have preferred a softer texture. Still, it was such a delightful ending to the meal that I can't really complain. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot to anyone!

They set a new standard for me. Everything else will be judged to this place. The fusion of flavors in the cocktails in the dishes in the deserts were all amazing.
