We've just had our second visit to this delightful Indian restaurant, and once again, we're left in awe of the incredible flavors and warm hospitality! Our server, Vishu, truly made our experience unforgettable. He was not only attentive but also very knowledgeable about the menu, guiding us to some fantastic choices. We indulged in a variety of dishes: the garlic naan and butter naan were heavenly, perfectly soft and full of flavor. The puri was light and crispy! For the main course, we opted for the palak paneer at a spicy level hot and the malai kofta at medium heat - both were superb, bursting with authentic spices and freshness. The shahi darbar goat curry was a standout, rich and tender, while the butter chicken was pure comfort food; creamy and delicious! Each dish was a treat for the taste buds, and we can’t wait to return to explore even more of the menu. Highly recommend this gem for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine! Thank you for another fantastic dining experience!
Vishu was a wonderful server to us and has been recommending wonderful foods! Our family loved the goat curry and the butter chicken. The Garlic Naan is amazing and combo-ed perfectly with the curry. We also got a dessert item (pic 1) that was very delicious 😋
BLOWN AWAY by the rich, creamy, and robust flavor of their butter chicken!! The naan was good with a slight crisp, that I enjoyed. I can see how some others may prefer a little more give/pull but I personally liked this. I normally go to several other places throughout the East Bay… this now TOPS my list. The staff is lovely, large space, and they have an extensive menu. I didn’t take a picture… will update on next visit.
I stopped by Shahi Darbar for the first time (even though I live less than a mile away!) and I’m so glad I did. I came in after work around 4pm and ordered the Makke di Roti and Sarso da Saag — absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. I also picked up two Pav Bhaji and some Fish Pakora to go, and both were equally impressive. The staff were warm, welcoming, and courteous, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful — a perfect place to unwind after a long day. It also strikes me as a great spot to grab a drink and enjoy some authentic Indian street food snacks before dinner. Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine and a chill vibe. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
Really enjoyed this restaurant. Came with my parents on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised. I feel a lot of Indian restaurants are overhyped and overpriced but this was really a bang for your buck. We got a full tandoori chicken, lamb seekh kabab, murgh methi curry, amritsari snd onion kulcha, and bhindi masala. Everything was super flavorful and portioned well. We have enough left for another meal. The service was also very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend for authentic, delicious food!
The food & all the Indian dishes are absolutely tasty and amazing! Sorry we were so excited to eat that we didn’t even think of taking pics but here’s some of the dishes we had! Fish pakoras and
Super tasty and authentic northern indian food in the bay area! It was such a peaceful atmosphere and great service from the staff. Would come back again.
