5 stars all around, and I'm hoping they're here to STAY! I LOVE Indian food and was ecstatic when I heard a new spot was going to open up in the heart of Patchogue. It's about time! The dishes were incredibly flavorful, not greasy, and the portions were good sizes for individuals or to share for 2. We tried the chili paneer and samosas for appetizer, and chicken Tikka and chicken saag for entrees with a side of garlic Naan. I'm definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu and you should too! We spoke with Singh, who was very professional and proud of opening this new restaurant to share his love for food, I can't wait to come back and see what else they come up with!

Went here today for my birthday with friends, and it was a wonderful experience! The food was so good, the butter chicken and samosas were my personal favorite. The food was well portioned and properly cooked. Staff is very warm and welcoming, so friendly and everything was very clean. The owner was so nice and easy to talk to as well, recognized my friend that came during easter and was very happy to know we liked the food! It really feels like home food when eating here, and I'm so happy with my experience. Please give this family owned business a visit, absolutely worth it, and will keep coming back!

I posted a review on Yelp already, but I came back for my friend's 20th birthday so I had to post another!! The food is FANTASTIC. The butter chicken was my absolute favorite, the sauce is amazing. The owner is extremely kind and welcoming as well. I'm definitely becoming a regular here!

Amazing food. The Samosa Chatt (dish to the side) was a particular favorite, it was a different preparation from any samosa I’ve had before and one I vastly preferred. I enjoyed the Aloo Gohbi (dish in front) and I’m not sure what my boyfriend got but I tried it and it was great as well. The garlic naan and mango lassi were delightful as well. (They cook to preferred spice level, even mild is spicy to me - so pro tip for us mild spicers - the mango lassi helps cut the spice.) My Boyfriend is the authority on Indian cuisine in our relationship and he stated this was the best he’s had. So, I got to be the proud smug girlfriend who found the place :) Overheard the customers around us and they also declared it authentic and kept saying how good it was. As for service and ambience, service was fantastic, ambiance was nice, it’s a small intimate restaurant and doesn’t have many tables. It’s a little bit off the main strip in Patchogue (across from James Joyce), so it doesn’t get as much foot traffic, we had no wait to sit at one of the last two tables, soon after we arrived all the tables filled. It definitely hasn’t quite been “discovered” yet and most definitely is worth being discovered. If you enjoy Indian cuisine this is definitely a must try, definitely will go back again.

My husband and I enjoyed fantastic food in a friendly atmosphere. We ordered Hakka noodles, Saag chicken and garlic naan. The food was fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend.. we will be back !

My husband and I couldn’t wait for this place to open and we are so happy it finally did! The food was as tasty as it is authentic- we of course over ordered to try as much as possible and the portions were generous! We have plenty of left overs! I saw another review stating this was the ‘most expensive’ Indian restaurant on the island, but we didn’t find that to be true. We live in Manorville and often drive to Saaz in Southampton or Saghar in Port Jeff (and when we are up for a road trip to Hicksville, there are many many options— especially for dosas!) and we felt the pricing was pretty spot on for the location, quality, portions, and overall experience. The owner was very friendly and humble and was kind enough to introduce my husband to the chef, as they are both from the same town of Chandigarh in India, and it was a really special connection to have made. He’s always looking for little moments to feel at home and it was a really welcoming and kind exchange. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, the decor was unique and with a modern twist, and we cannot wait to come back! I’m usually a garlic naan girly but their cheese naan was heavenly! Also, I think their samosa chaat was the best I’ve had outside of India itself! We were happy to observe they do delivery — maybe through Uber or DoorDash, I’m not sure, but it’s definitely going to be on our radar in the near future! I can already tell that House of Spices is here to stay! It’s a fantastic and much needed addition to Patchogue!

I have been searching for good Indian food in this area for 2 years and this place is everything I wanted it to be. We got the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, samosas, chicken lollipops, garlic naan and cheese naan. Everything was delicious but don’t miss the cheese naan dipped in butter chicken!! Will definitely be coming back here often.
