If you work in the area you know how expensive lunch breaks always get so every now an ill crave halal and this is my go to. I posted cross streets so you can enjoy as well chicken over rice as well as chilli chicken over rice with lamb is amazing
This is one of my favorite street vendors for Halal chicken over rice, lamb over rice, and samosa. I eat here at least once a week. The prices are $8 for the lunch combo which is great for a quick lunch and it’s easy on the wallet.
The food here is tasty, not too greasy, and quite spicy, with strong overall flavors. While it’s not the best Indian food I’ve ever had, it’s still satisfying and enjoyable. Prices are reasonable, and they’re open until very late, making it a great option for midnight munchies.
The Biryani is so good and comes with egg too…love the samosa, it’s worth eating after a long day of walking in NY downtown. We got benches around the corner where we could sit and have food.
Best food in all of Fidi. The staff is so beyond friendly and the food is unreal at super great prices. Lived in fidi for 3 years and probably ate there 2x a week super super worth it delicious YUM Faves: chicken kati roll, chilli chicken (over rice), chicken biryani
I went there yesterday and today and their chicken over rice was delicious. It was extremely spicy so be careful with their hot sauce. The guy was polite. I had tried their chicken birayni before and it was really really awful so pls avoid ordering that. If anyone tried their curry chicken or fish over rice, pls do leave a review as I want to know if it's good. Take note, the cart location is in front of the giant red cube and when there's a long queue, you know the food is always good.
One of the best Indian food cart in NYC. It is closest to authentic Indian food i have tried in NYC. A lot of Indian restaurants here but they all sell American version of Indian food. This cart has much better taste and uses a lot of original Indian spices to the food. I tried mattar paneer rice bowl and it was delicious. It was for $6 and quantity was a also sufficient. Owner is a good person and cooks food passionately. Will definitely eat here again
